The Teneno Client software will reside on each of your devices (Mobile Devices and Computers). It communicates with the Teneno Core Network to connect all your devices together and to establish a secure data tunnel, over the internet, between these devices.

REPLACE COMPLEX NETWORK HARDWARE WITH SIMPLE SOFTWARE
THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND TENENO
So, how is it possible for Teneno to provide an enterprise class IT network at a fraction of the costs quoted by traditional networking vendors?
Simple: we don't operate on the hardware-based model of traditional vendors. Imagine having a proprietary hardware device for every software application - one PC for Excel, one for Outlook, one for PowerPoint and so on. Sounds complicated, expensive and downright crazy, right? Yet this is precisely the model that networking vendors have been pushing for decades - and are still pushing today.
Furthermore, traditional Networks are based on expensive, vendor-specific hardware devices which control only a single network function and have individual operating systems. This creates an incongruent set of network components that are hard to integrate with each other; and leads to a complex network structure with multiple points of failure.
By contrast, the new Software Defined Network (SDN) model used by Teneno extracts software functionality from each of these expensive network hardware components and hosts them in the cloud. This drastically reduces costs because we use industry standard hardware devices rather than proprietary boxes; and because these costs - inexpensive to begin with - are shared across multiple users.
As the name indicates, Software Defined Networks are based on software. All the network functions (e.g. firewall, DDOS, Load Balancing, VPN, etc...) are run and managed centrally. This means that the network structure is simpler, faster to setup and easier to manage.
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) takes the complexity out, making simple and flexible network provision a reality.
